Wow, our first vacation since our trip out to California when Gabby was almost 2 years old...yup - that means it's been 2 1/2 years since we took any type of vacation. All of our "vacation" time has been spent on house building! Thankfully so, though, as we got the house done in almost exactly 6 months! Not bad for novices...and for Jeremy doing so much of the work himself or with the help of Uncle butter. Anyway - we have a new nephew! My sis-in-law and brother-in-law had Miles back in May (11th). So we are headed down this friday to meet the little guy and spend a few days with them! Then we're headed back up to Nashville TN to stay with my sister Randi (the kiddos want another sleep over with their aunt Randi...well, the older two keep asking me when the next one will be...) We're going to be there for just two nights and then head up to Chicago on Friday/Sat/Sun and take the kiddos to the Chicago Children's Museum (we've heard that it's the coolest and that all three of the kids will really enjoy!) I'll bet daddy will love it too, as he's always a kid at heart when it comes to playing with stuff. I'm hoping we'll get to go to Shedd Aquarium too, but we'll see...It would really only be for me, and maybe Gabby...she likes the dolphins too, but it's a bit expensive to go to with the five of us, for me to be the only one to really enjoy it. But we really can't wait for all the hotel time and taking the kids swimming and then letting them have a blast at the museum. I don't know if it will be much of a vacation for us parents, but we're still looking forward to it. We'll see how the drives go...three babies (yes, they are all still babies to their momma) in the back seat of the truck. Thanks to Grandpa Tell for letting us borrow his mini dvd player...i'm positive it is going to be a huge blessing to us! I'm off to get some kids movies and books on tape for the ride and to bring some wonderful friends a meal after they had their baby! Wow...babies are popping out everywhere (except here, in case you were all wondering...)
